Chishima Real Estate Co., Ltd. and its associated companies own 66 buildings and about 260 acres of land, mainly in the cities of Osaka, Kobe, Nishinomiya, and Fukuoka, as well as more than 10 aircrafts. We lease lands and car parks, and manage buildings, apartments, and a shopping center.
In the years before and after World War Two, our sites in the Kitakagaya area of Osaka (Taisho and Suminoe wards) were zoned as industrial areas for the support of the modernization of Japan. These days, through urban planning and reformation of the industrial structure, the land is transformed into commercial districts.
Our properties in Chishima and Kitakagaya are typical examples.
In 1919, we leased about 8 acres of land in Chishima, Taisho ward, to Obayashi Corporation. In 2001, the land was leased back and prepared for redevelopment into a large-scale shopping mall with shops and restaurants.
Our property in Kitakagaya, meanwhile, has been re-zoned into an area with commercial facilities such as amusement centers and large-scale public baths. Chishima Real Estate Co., Ltd. will continue to revitalize its properties and devote itself to the building of prosperous communities.
